Change Today brings together T.S.O.L.’s Joe Wood and founding guitarist Ron Emory for a special performance celebrating the music of T.S.O.L.’s classic 1984 album Change Today?.
After T.S.O.L.’s lineup changed in the early ’80s, Emory and bassist Mike Roche were joined by Wood and drummer Mitch Dean, creating a new chapter in the band’s history. That lineup recorded Change Today?, an album that expanded T.S.O.L.’s sound while producing songs including “Blackmagic,” “Just Like Me,” “Red Shadows,” “Flowers by the Door,” “American Zone,” and “In Time.”
Wood and Emory were an important songwriting partnership during this era, with the two collaborating on songs that have remained part of T.S.O.L.’s legacy for more than four decades.
For this special appearance at Garden Amp, Joe Wood and Ron Emory reunite to perform songs from Change Today? as part of the benefit for their longtime bandmate and friend Mike Roche—bringing the music they created together back to the stage for a night dedicated to helping one of their own.
This isn't a tribute to the record. It's the people who helped create it, playing it for the person who was there with them from the beginning.
